Under Eric’s leadership, the council has
reduced the mill levy and unnecessary fees -
and we must continue to work to reduce the
burden on our residents. Eric also supported
giving residents more input in how Shawnee
is governed, especially regarding proposed
developments near neighborhoods.

IMPROVE DOWNTOWN SHAWNEE
Eric has been the leader in the effort to
transform downtown Shawnee In a way that
welcomes small, locally-owned business. He
advocates for responsible use of economic
development incentives to help small local
business, such as the Aztec Theatre, McLain’s
Market, Mother Cluckers, and District Pour
House; while resisting reckless corporate
welfare projects.

Johnson Drive from four lanes, rejecting
the King Street Apartment proposal, and
